Figures and tables: Embedded in the manuscript immediately after the paragraph where it is first cited, ensuring it is centered and properly numbered with captions. Figures and Tables must be numbered using Arabic numerals (1,2,3, etc.). Roman numerals are not allowed. Figures and tables should be included within the main text and formatted as “in line with text,” so that they move naturally with the surrounding content when text is added or deleted.

Scientific names: All scientific names must be written in italics and must include the authority name. Authority names and Family names must not be in italics. Example: Pinus roxburghii Sarg (Pinaceae).

  1. References Style:

When citations are mentioned within the body of the text (in-text citations), please use the following guidelines:

The general in-text citation format is (Author Surname, Year) with comma between the name and year. Example: (Singh, 2025).

If the citation has 2 authors, list both surnames separated by "&". Example: (Singh & Sharma, 2025)

If the citation has more than two authors, list the surname of the first author followed by "et al." and the publication year. Example: (Singh et al., 2025).

Use “&” to separate 2 author names when the citation is in parentheses but “and” when the citation is within the body of the sentence.

Example- “Several studies supported this observation (Singh & Sharma, 2025)” or “Singh and Sharma (2025) demonstrated similar findings”.

If citing more than one source at a time, list sources in alphabetical order, separate sources with a semicolon (;) after the year, and do not include “and” before the last source listed. Example: (Biswas, 1997; Sharma & Smith, 1980; Verma, 1964)

Check all the references in the document and match them with those listed in "References" section. There should be no entries in the References section that are not cited within the main text, and there should be no in-text citations that are not listed in the References section.

The list of references should be arranged alphabetically by author surname and then chronologically if necessary. More than one reference from the same author(s) in the same year must be identified by the letters 'a', 'b', 'c', etc., placed after the year of publication.

APA referencing style should be followed in reference list.

For example: Singh, B. P., Devashree, Y., Sharna, V., & Manhas, R. K. (2023). Diversity of wild edible plants and fungi consumed by semi-nomadic Gaddi and Sippi tribes in Doda district of Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Ethnobotany Research and Applications25, 1-33.

Consistency in citation style is mandatory.
